National Truffle Day
As a small child, I was a chocoholic. If I had a choice between Gummy candy, chocolate, or something salty, it was a given I was taking the chocolate.
I can still tell you the first time I ate a Truffle.
I was attending Maric College in San Diego, CA. I was working at JCPENNEY at the mall in Escondido, CA. I would take the bus from School to work. Midway I had to transfer routes at Fashion Valley Mall.
I would have to waste time between buses, so I often wandered into stores. I can still vividly remember the day I walked into Neiman Marcus. There was a counter that sold fresh Truffles. They were pricey, but OH MY GOODNESS, I had never tasted anything like it before in my life.
From that day forward, I stopped there daily until I finished school. A daily treat between school and work. I can honestly say all you need is one. They are perfect!
It is kind of funny how that it worked. From a truffle to Neiman Marcus becoming my first credit card at the age of 19. Since then, I have shopped Neiman’s for special gifts for those I love.
As you can tell, one simple Truffle changed me. If I could only have one type of chocolate for the rest of my life, it would be truffles.
