A Little Free Library is a great place to find something new to read.
You do not need a library card. There are no late fees. Most never close. All you need is to respect the stewards. The general idea is you take a book and you leave a book.
There are currently over 36,000 Little Free Libraries around the world. That means, there is most likely one near you and you have never noticed it yet.They are located in 70 countries and all 50 states of the United States. You can locate yours here.
With a little planning, you can build one for your neighborhood.
Kids are free to find a book. This encourages reading!
If you have books laying around that you are done with, you can drop them off for others to enjoy.
You never know who you might meet at one. You might find your next best friend. It is a great way to meet the neighbors.
Some are designed extra kid friendly. This Little Free Library has two levels. An upper level for advanced readers. There is also a lower level that is easily accessible by smaller readers.
They come in all shapes and sizes.
