Boston Pops 4th of July
Attending the Boston Pops on the 4th of July has been on my bucket list for over 25 years. It hasn’t happened yet, but I know one day it will.
I have never been to Boston. I became aware of the Boston 4th of July in the 90’s. At that time they were broadcast on PBS. If I recall correctly, they were eventually moved to A&E and now CBS.
So what is it about the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular?
I view this particular show as THE BEST of THE BEST! To me, it is everything the 4th of July is about. People wear Red, White, and Blue. There are picnics in the park. Families are enjoying the day together. There is a military presence. The Boston Pops has a concert in the park. The concert continues into as the fireworks show begins. It is SPECTACULAR.
Boston and much of the East coast is full of history of our great country. There is the option to watch the show from a chartered boat in the Boston Harbor. Personally, I would go for the concert in the park.
Honestly, I have given this much thought over the years and have planned my trip in great detail. I would like to stay at the stunning Four Seasons Boston. The rooms are breathtaking.
Besides the rooms being beyond belief, the Four Seasons in Boston is only a half mile from the band shell that the Boston Pops performs at. That makes it within walking distance. Considering the size of the crowds they have every year, walking distance is a huge plus.
I have considered if I were to fly in early on the 4th and fly out early on the 5th, I might be able to do it sans the hotel.
I am not sure when it will happen or how it will happen. I just KNOW it will happen with all my heart. To me it is as big as Christmas.
The show will begin airing in about 5 minutes in my time zone, so I will bid you all farewell.
Stay Safe and Happy 4th of July!
