Recently my husband and I went to eat at Denny’s in Modesto. I had a coupon in an e-mail. The e-mail showed all the new menu items. There were a lot and they look good.
I walked in the door knowing I was going to be silly! They are currently making Rudolph pancakes. There are two options. One is a kids meal with just the pancakes. The second is an adult meal with a plate with your choice of eggs and hash browns.
I did modify my reindeer by requesting regular bacon instead of turkey bacon.
What I didn’t expect before we got there was the fun cups!!! The kids cup is Rudolph. You would think that is great but THERE’S MORE. There is a headband attached to the cup with ears. you get reindeer ears to wear! If that wasn’t enough, they throw in a red nose. How can you be Rudolph without a red nose?
At this point I think my husband was rolling his eyes at my silliness. It didn’t matter, I was too busy having fun!
I also couldn’t resist trying one of the new milkshakes. I tried the cookie. It is vanilla ice cream blended with Cookie Butter. I thought it was a typo so I asked my waitress if it was Cookie Batter? She explained it was actually something the consistency of like Peanut Butter. (that is the consistency not the content) It is then topped with whipped cream and shortbread cookies!
It was beyond heavenly! I can guarantee you I will ordering it again!
I have been hanging on to these photos for a few days with the intention of sharing them with all of you. Guess who else tried it out?
My granddaughter and her mom are on vacation right now. They went to eat at a Denny’s too! I had not told them of my adventures until I saw their pictures.
They did have one disappointment. On the table, the flier featured the Rudolph cups and they asked if the kids meal came with it. They were told it did. Then, they got the HOME cups. They didn’t have the Rudolph cups yet. It wasn’t a total loss though because the little one loves HOME!
I am going to add that my granddaughter’s Rudolph pancakes looked more like the pictures then mine did.
