Christmas Arts and Crafts Party

Christmas Arts and Crafts Party

It’s Black Friday! While the parents are out shopping like  crazy for those must have items, I decided to party with my grand daughter and some of her friends.Christmas arts and crafts party

Our friends at Oriental Trading Company sent us a package to have the ultimate Christmas Arts and Crafts Party!!! Thank you OTC!! Our little party ended up being 4 children between the ages of 2 and 6.

The kids were excited to watch me assemble the cupcake sleigh.

They were over joyed when I put purple and blue frosted cupcakes out that I bought at SaveMart. Unfortunately, the day we had the party, there were no red or green cupcakes.

The next thing I got out were the Peanuts Drink Bottles with straws. We filled them with lemonade.

One of the girls shouted with joy, that is PEANUTS!

We were sent mixed fruit flavored Christmas tree lollipops. They also sent mixed fruit flavored Christmas trees and presents gummies.

I added some Trolli Curvy Candy Canes  from CVS.

You can imagine the sugar high these little ones had by the end of the party!

The first project we did was to make Peanuts 3D Snoopy’s Christmas Dog House.

Before they started I cut open a trash bag and covered the table. This is a great idea so you don’t end up with a huge mess.

The house is assembled easily and the decorations have adhesive stickers. Past experience told me to bring glue. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find some. Savemart only had glue sticks. I went next door to CVS and I only found glitter glue. I decided it was better the nothing.

The girls had a blast constructing their houses.  As you can see, they came out pretty cute.

I thought it would be a good idea to alternate between crafts and games. The first game we played was pin the nose on the snowman.

The eye cover was not very sturdy and broke when putting it on the first child. We improvised with a kitchen towel.

When the kids had their turn, we would say spin around one time, spin around two times, spin around 3 times. Then we would make sure they were facing the wall and let them try.

The 2 year old little boy was actually the winner. I was impressed.

Our next craft was to make Peanuts Christmas memory box. The girls worked hard to decorate their boxes. You can see their Snoopy houses on the window sill in the back of the photos.

The girls were proud of their boxes.

Mean while, this little guy was busy drinking his lemonade. He seemed to be pretty happy!

After finishing their memory boxes, it was time for another game. We went outside to do play with the Peanuts Christmas Bean Bag Toss game.

The game came with 5 different colored bean bags. Each of the bean bags had Snoopy on them. We decided it was going to be easier to hold the board up for the kids then to try to hang it somewhere.

There was so much giggling and jumping around. The kids had so much fun! I was even laughing.

When I had gone into CVS to look for a glue, I saw some really cute Christmas Musical Peanuts characters. I thought it would be really  nice to give the kids each a prize.

I gave Linus to the 2 year old boy because Linus carries a blanket.

I gave Charlie Brown to the 3 year old girl.

I gave Woodstock to the 5 year old girl.

Finally, I gave Snoopy to my grand daughter.  She will be 6 in about 6 weeks.

My grand daughter confessed to me that she really wanted Charlie Brown. I felt bad because I always loved Snoopy and so that is what I gave her. She did have a good attitude about it though and enjoyed her Snoopy.

We gave my grand daughter’s mom a Christmas musical dancing dog that I also got at CVS. I took some photos, but it doesn’t show nearly how cute and funny it is. I wish I had taken a video.

The puppy dances and bounces while playing a Christmas song. We were all laughing so hard. It was the greatest!

It was now time to enjoy those lovely cupcakes from Savemart. Because of the color of the frosting, we had them take their tops off. We didn’t want to ruin anyone’s clothes.

I have mentioned how much my grand daughter likes Pie Face. She immediately pie faced herself. She was quite proud of herself. Everyone was laughing. Then the other 2 girls followed her lead. I was so glad I had them take their shirts off.
