Schools Out for Summer
Kids love to hear Schools Out for Summer! Last week my granddaughter graduated from Kindergarten. I can not put into words how excited she is! She is going to be a 1st grader! She will go to school all day! She is a big kid now!
She wore her lucky unicorn shirt for the special day. The kids enjoyed a pizza party and a ton of sweets before graduation.
The first year teacher has done an amazing job with the little ones.
All of the children were so very proud of completing their first year of school.
One of my favorite things was hearing the teacher describe the positive traits of each child. She also introduced everyone by saying, “my next friend is….”
In addition to the photo opportunity and graduation certificate, the teacher created a scrapbook for each child. It started with first day of school photos of each child. It then featured moments from the year. There were tons of photos of the child the book was for. It also contained a few assignments and art works.
I can not believe the time, effort, and thoughtfulness their teacher put into each individual child’s book.
I think I fell in love with the adorable reading nook! OMG, I so want one in my bedroom!
I also fell in love with this wall.
I so can not believe my granddaughter is now officially a 1st grader. Where did the past 6 years go?
I know I have been quiet lately, and I have a few things I am working on at the moment. Please, don’t give up on me yet. I am exploring some ideas to fine tune the blog. You can comment below if there is anything you would like to see in the future.
In recent weeks I have been to the beach in Monterey and Pacifica. We took Bebita to Yosemite, I will be doing a post on her page in the next day or two. My husband and I went to Makers Faire in San Mateo. Today, I got a raspberry pi3 in the mail. Once I play with it some, I will tell you guys about it. Finally, on June 11th we are taking Bebita to the Giants v the Twins game. It is called the Dog Days of Summer and there will be a dog parade before the game. So make sure you tune in, you might see us!!!
