The joys of picking out the best Halloween costume
We are just over 2 weeks from one of the best days of the year for 7’s HALLOWEEN!!! For months we have debated what the best Halloween costume was. We argued with each other. We made plans. Only to change our minds every week. Then it happened.
We finally made the plunge. In our case, our friends at Oriental Trading Company came to the rescue!
My granddaughter is a major Shopkins fan! Did you know they have Shopkins costumes for girls?? You can see them here. They also had costumes for Bebita! Best of all, they lined up matching costumes.
If there is a 5-7 year old girl in your life, you know how big shopkins are. You can’t escape them. Nevaeh is going as the Shopkins Cupcake Queen. Bebita is going as Cupcake Girl.
Nevaeh is 6 years old and wears a size 7 in clothes. The medium size costume fits her perfectly. She tends to be pretty modest and keeps pulling the bottom of the skirt down. She says it’s a little bit too short.
Bebita is 75% chihuahua and 25% yorkshire terrier. Her last weigh in put her at about 8-9 pounds. Bebita received the small costume. In hindsight the extra small would have been a better fit. None the less, the costume is adorable.
Nevaeh is looking forward to trick-or-treating very very soon!
Bebita also sported her blue wig when we went to see the Blue Angels last weekend in San Francisco, CA.
I want to add that when I lived up in Idaho and was the manager of a toy store/sweet shop there was an annual apple festival in the fall. One of the activities was getting votes for your store. I personally ordered an apple costume and had my employees on the street mingling with the community dressed as an apple. 3 Years later, that costume is still in great condition!
